Becoming a Mom of Two | An Interview with Cult Gaia

Hi my loves! I hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend celebrating all the important women in your life. For me, this year was my first Mother’s Day as a family of four and I’m beyond grateful for my two girls! So in honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share this little interview I did with one of my favorite women-owned brands, Cult Gaia. And for those of you asking about this dress, I’ve linked it for you right here!

How has being a mother changed your life?

It’s changed my heart. It’s made me be comfortable with vulnerability, it’s made me realize I can’t control everything, it’s taken me outside of myself, and that’s made me so much stronger.

What does Mother’s Day mean to you?

Not until becoming a mother myself did I realize just how hard it is, just how truly selfless you must be, the sacrifices my mother made, and her mother made, and that should absolutely be celebrated.

What advice would you give to new mothers?

Trust yourself and don’t be afraid to ask for help. In so many other cultures, babies are truly raised by a village. I think so many of us  try to be super heroes and do it all by ourselves and have so much pressure to balance mothering, working, appearance, and beyond. Having proper help in place can mean the difference between enjoying motherhood, and just surviving it.

How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?

Eating pancakes that my hubby made, in bed with my babies, watching our favorite movies and doing absolutely nothing! Then dinner with my mom and family 🤍

Best advice you’ve received from your mom?

Seek love, it’s worth the wait, and it was 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧
