A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the homicide of young mother Felicia McGuyer, who went missing more than 15 years ago, according to Boston police.
Over the weekend, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit arrived at the Baker County Detention Center in Florida for the rendition of David Pena.
He was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Dorchester District Court for a murder charge stemming from the death of McGuyer — who was last seen on Oct. 7, 2007, in the area of Roxton Street in Dorchester.
McGuyer was 32 years old when she disappeared, leaving behind her 10-year-old son.
“McGuyer’s family is concerned for her safety and well-being,” Boston police wrote in 2013 as authorities again asked for the public’s help in the missing mother case. “It is not common behavior for McGuyer to be out of touch with her son, other family and friends.”
In 2017, police searched a wooded area in West Roxbury as part of the investigation.
Upon arrival at Logan International Airport over the weekend, Pena was transported to a BPD station, where he was booked in the usual manner. Police learned he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Suffolk Superior Court on charges of trafficking cocaine.
Pena will appear in Dorchester District Court for arraignment on his charges.
