The Miami Dolphins and iHeartMedia Miami announced a new multi-year radio partnership on Monday morning.
Beginning with the 2023 season, live game-day broadcasts will air on South Florida’s BIG 105.9-FM and Fox Sports 940-AM, moving on from WQAM 560-AM and KISS 99.9-FM. The press release also announced plans to expand affiliate stations in Florida, Hawaii and Puerto Rico to make Dolphins games accessible to fans in new markets.
The Dolphins radio broadcast team on the new stations remains the same, with former Dolphins wide receiver Jimmy Cefalo handling play-by-play duties, former Dolphins tight end Joe Rose providing color commentary and former Dolphins linebacker Kim Bokamper offering analysis and updates from the sidelines.
Along with game broadcasts, the stations will air a pregame show, postgame show and weekly radio show featuring exclusive interviews with Dolphins personnel and guests from around the league. All shows will be available on the stations’ websites and the iHeartRadio app, and the game broadcasts can also be heard on Dolphins.com.
“We are excited about this partnership and honored to be the new broadcast home of the Miami Dolphins,” said Kevin LeGrett, president of iHeartMedia Sports, in a statement.. “The Miami Dolphins are the city’s premiere sports team and with the massive multiplatform reach and scale that iHeartMedia can provide, we have the ability to deliver great programming and coverage to millions of fans across the state and beyond.”
The Dolphins are returning to iHeartMedia after a partnership from 2010-15.
