Vincent Ferrara threw a pair of touchdown passes to Xavier Ferrara as Wellesley (6-2) defeated Braintree 28-7 in the Bay State Conference for its fifth straight win.

Mauricio Powell rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns on six carries as Brockton (7-1) defeated Durfee 48-0 in the Southeast Conference.

Ryan McGuire returned a pair of punts for touchdowns and also caught a TD pass as North Reading (7-1) rolled to a 54-16 win over Hamilton-Wenham in the Cape Ann League.

In the Independent School League, BB&N (3-3) beat Belmont Hill 14-0 with a dominant defensive effort. Bo Maccormack ran the ball 41 times gaining 210 yards and a TD. The Knights defense held Belmont Hill to 74 yards total. Tyler Robbins had a second half interception. … Darnell Pierre ran for 218 yards and four touchdowns as Brooks (5-1) defeated St. George’s, 49-20. … Chris Capone and Joey Duggan each rushed for two scores as Noble and Greenough (4-2) coasted to a 48-13 win over St. Mark’s.

Joe McCauley went 8-for-14 for 262 yards and three TDs and Quinn Carver added 20 rushes for 190 yards and two scores as Dexter Southfield (5-1) upended Greenwich Country Day 38-20.
