GIRLS BASKETBALL
In a Merrimack Valley Conference crossover contest, Ashlee Talbot achieved a milestone and did it in style. The senior standout scored 27 of her 36 points to surpass the 1,000-point mark for her career as Dracut (4-2) downed Central Catholic, 60-45
Sophomore Abby Pattison led all scorers with 17 points in a 34-22 win for South Shore (6-1) over Mayflower Athletic Conference opponent Holbrook.
In a nonleague contest, Ava Orlando (19 points) and Elle Orlando (16 points) combined to power Notre Dame Academy (Hingham) to a thrilling 51-46 victory over Canton. … Reese Matela turned in a great performance, finishing with 16 points and 12 boards as St. Mary’s (Lynn) defeated North Andover 62-53. … Junior captain Isabella Lopez-Marin dropped 39 points for Matignon in a 60-52 win over Maimonides. … Tara Battaglino scored 12 points as Wellesley defeated Concord-Carlisle, 48-37.
In the Catholic Central League, junior captain Cecilia Kay registered a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds, as Bishop Fenwick rolled to a 63-36 win over Malden Catholic.
Emily Shea had 35 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists as Mt. Alvernia defeated St. Joseph Prep, 66-41.
In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Sabrina Doyle scored 17 of her 21 points in the first half, while Annie Brosnan added19 points and seven assists as Minuteman (6-0) defeated Whittier, 61-51.
BOYS HOCKEY
Johnny Mireault (two goals), James Whitman (two goals) and Joe Young (three assists) provided some scoring offensively, and Chris Sacco collected 31 saves to guide Masconomet (5-3) to a 7-2 romp of nonleague foe Newburyport. … Sam Hubbard and Peter Metcalf netted two goals apiece, helping to pace Natick during a 6-4 victory over Falmouth.

Talia Martucci and Izzy Cash each scored twice as Winthrop defeated Acton-Boxboro 5-1 in a nonleague contest.

The latest inductees to the Andover High Hall of Fame will be honored at the Andover Country Club on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 6 p.m.
The honorees are Moira Cronin (2011), Christopher Cullen (1996), Maggie D’Innocenzo (2014), Ian Dowe (1984), Alyson Fazio (2012), Sean Geary (2004), Matt Gibson (1995), Ed Huot (1966), Arthur Iworsley (Coach), Elizabeth Mancuso (2004), Christopher McConnell (2010), Tommy McLaughlin (2001), EJ Perry III (1983), Jaclyn Torres (2013), and Scott White (1973).
Also entering are State Championship Girls’ Basketball Teams – 2003, 2010, 2011, 2012, State and New England Championship Boys’ Outdoor Track & Field Team – 1984, and State Championship Girls’ Swim & Dive Teams 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
