Jack Carpenter netted two goals and an assist while Jarret Scoppettuolo tallied the game winner in overtime as Lynnfield topped Newburyport, 5-4 in the Cape Ann League.
Billy Morgan and Matt Solari each scored twice as Whitman-Hanson (8-6) defeated Plymouth North 7-1.
In the Catholic Conference, Jimmy Ayers and Christian Rosa had two goals apiece as St. John’s Prep took down St. John’s of Shrewsbury 9-2.

Chloe Duff netted the score as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake (8-3) fended off Norwell/Abington 1-0 in nonleague action. … Shelby Nassar scored twice as HPNA defeated Shrewsbury 4-1.
In Bay State Conference play, Mikal Franklin made 11 saves, including her 1,000th, as Framingham (6-3-1) blanked Weymouth 3-0.
