Trump factor

Mr. Rasheed Walters column “America needs Trump now more than ever”  is timely reading for our voters who blatantly ignored the dire issues facing us as a nation during the recent mid term elections and decided to stay with Biden’s  presidency despite its colossal failure on every front.

Amidst  the escalating border crisis, rampant crime and economic ills facing our nation, Preident Biden made no bones about his desire to make no course corrections to his policies going forward. His senior administration officials in tandem with the mainstream media now focus their efforts to reelect him in 2024, ignoring his poor performance and sagging approval rating. It is time that the news media come clean on this issue and be honest in their reporting and coverage about what is going on in the current administration.

Ex-president Trump, despite all his self-inflicted character issues and the constant barrage of criticisms by corrupt media, and self serving political pundits,  accomplished so much during his term as president that no other president who occupied the White House thus far can boast about. History down the road will establish this fact.

As Mr. Walters points out, in a world dominated by power hungry despots like Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and a bureaucratic swamp run by career politicians, our nation needs a strong leader to make our nation a guiding light. It is no denial that Trump will fulfill that role. Let Trump be Trump.

Dan Rea

Loved your article by Lance Reynolds on Dan Rea and NiteSide (Dec. 26). Dan is a great host and a wonderful guy who really cares about his audience plus he is a moderate conservative and even has some “liberal” views plus he has respect for all opinions — radical, liberal, and conservative.

I’m a “radical liberal” and I tune in often.

I don’t have  exact figures but I think he may pass other radio stalwarts like Jerry Williams and David Brudnoy in terms of longevity as a radio talk show host.

As we say in Yiddish, “ad meah v’esrim”— until 120!

Wishing him a long tenure as host!

Tua Tagovailoa

If the NFL is really serious about dealing with concussions suffered by players like Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa they need a new policy ASAP.  Here is my proposal – First concussion, a three doctor panel independent of the NFL and the affected players team has to unanimously clear a player before.he can play again. Second concussion ,the player is placed on the short term injured reserve list thus he is forced to miss at least four games even if he is eligible before the four games end. And if a third concussion occurs the player is placed on season ending injured reserve even if a three doctor panel clears him. If Tua Tagovailoa is not properly taken care, of never mind football he may not even enjoy what should be a long normal life.
