A two-alarm fire broke out in a multi-family Medford home Monday morning, forcing the closure of several streets in the area as firefighters battled the blaze.
The fire broke out at around 6 a.m. in the multi-family home at the corner of Forest Street and Woodrow Ave. The Medford Fire Department, with aid from Malden and Arlington, battled the blaze ripping through the structure’s roof for hours throughout the morning.
Medford Firefighters Local 1032 tweeted that there had been no reported injuries as of about 11:30 a.m.
Medford police reported multiple streets, including Forest Street between Lawrence Street and Walter Road, were closed and warned residents to avoid the area.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
