PIC’S PICKS – NFL WEEK 10
(21-22-2 against the spread in 2022)
MIAMI DOLPHINS (-3.5) over Cleveland Browns
If Tua Tagovailoa keeps this up, we’ll be calling him NFL MVP by season’s end. Since returning from his concussion, Tagovailoa has led the 6-3 Dolphins to three straight wins while throwing seven touchdown passes with no interceptions, and averaging 315 pass yards per game in those three games. Now, they host a 3-5 Browns team coming off the bye that allows 25 points per game. I expect the Dolphins to put up big numbers in this one at home. Give me Miami to win and cover.
NEW YORK GIANTS (-5.5) over Houston Texans
The 6-2 Giants are coming off the bye and have most likely erased a Week 8 loss in Seattle from their memory. Prior to that, New York had won four straight. This game at home against the 1-6 Texans should be an automatic win. Houston has lost three straight. And Saquon Barkley should be able to feast on a Texans defense that allows an NFL-worst 180 rush yards per game. Barkley had a season-low 53 rush yards against the Seahawks before the bye, so you know he’s hungry. Giants win and cover at MetLife.
DALLAS COWBOYS (-4.5) over Green Bay Packers
This one is at Lambeau, but does it really matter? The 3-6 Packers have lost five straight. Last week in Detroit, Aaron Rodgers looked like he was throwing the game at times. We’ll assume he wasn’t. But things won’t get any easier in Week 10 against a Dallas defense that’s coming off the bye and still leads the NFL in sacks with 33. The 6-2 Cowboys were last seen putting up 49 points in a win over Chicago. I have no choice but to take Dallas to win big in Green Bay.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-7) over Los Angeles Chargers
You have to feel for the 5-3 Chargers, who’ve been missing their top two wideouts in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. It could be a tough night for Justin Herbert against a 49ers defense that ranks sixth in the league, allowing just 18 points per game. San Francisco is 4-4 and coming off the bye. This is a good matchup for the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. I like them to win and cover at home against a Chargers defense that allows 26 points per game.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-10.5) over Washington Commanders
The 1972 Dolphins can keep their champagne on ice for now. The 8-0 Eagles already beat the 4-5 Commanders, 24-8, back in Week 3. Jalen Hurts threw for a season-high 340 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in that win. Hurts is feeling himself right now, throwing eight touchdown passes in his last three games. The Linc will be rocking on Monday night. I wouldn’t want to be Taylor Heinicke. Eagles win by at least two touchdowns.
