Throwback Thursday

Before Keith Lockhart and John Williams, there was Arthur Fiedler. The Boston-born conductor lead the Pops for nearly 50 years and put the orchestra on the national map. He also knew how to have fun. When this Jan. 6, 1964 photo was taken, the beloved conductor put on a Beatles wig before leading the Pops in an arrangement of “I Wanna Hold Your Hand.”(AP Photo)
